Orange County, California natives Something Corporate debut at number 1 on the Billboard “Heatseekers” chart, number 1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Albums Chart and at number 101 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart this week with 11,903 units sold of their major label release Leaving Through The Window (Drive-Thru/MCA Records). The band is currently gearing up to perform on the main stage at this summer’s Warped Tour, which kicks off June 21st in Boise, ID.
Comprised of pianist/vocalist Andrew, guitarists Josh and William, bassist Clutch, and drummer Brian, Something Corporate creates piano-based pop/rock infused with punk energy. Singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon wears his influences on his sleeve, displaying a songwriting proficiency years ahead of his actual age.
Something Corporate’s full-length debut L.P., Leaving Through The Window features songs that range from energetic, hopeful, and playful to emotional -- the honest feelings about being members of Generation Y. Five of the album’s tracks were then dramatically embellished with string arrangements, performed by a 26 piece orchestra, written and conducted by Grammy award winner, Paul Buckmaster (David Bowie, Elton John, Train). Despite such formal flourishes, producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Fiona Apple), retained the hard rocking, indie-edge that the band is known and loved for.
The band’s fanbase was largely built when KROQ in Los Angeles discovered the band’s E.P., Audioboxer, and made the song, “iF yoU C Jordan,” a hit. The video for “iF yoU C Jordan” was added to MTV2, Much Music and most college music video shows.

Something Corporate's album Leaving Through The Window was the #1 album on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart (a list of new artists whose albums are on the rise)!! Congratulations to the guys in the band and thanks to all of the fans who purchased the album!
