For personal reasons, the Rx Bandits are unfortunately no longer supporting Something Corporate for the remainder of this tour. There will a variety of bands filling the opening slots on these remaining dates. The band would like to thank the Rx Bandits and their fans for rocking so hard.

Watch Something Corporate play some songs live for Rolling Stone. What songs? Well, there's "Space," "As You Sleep," and "Cavanaugh Park."
We regret to announce tomorrow’s San Diego show will be postponed. Due to the fires we have been left with no option but to reschedule the show for Decemeber 18th. We hate to change a date, but it has become clear that now is a time for our fans dealing with this dilemma to be with their families. We hope you all understand and we will be looking forward to this tour’s last date being a big san diego homecoming show.
Once again, the San Diego show has been rescheduled for Dec. 18th. Out prayers are with you."

Finally, after much stalling our headlining tour dates are being posted. Most of the tour is up on the site in the
events section though there is a last week that is waiting to be confirmed along with a couple shows on the east coast. If you don't see a show near you we're hoping to do another run in late winter/early spring to play a bunch of markets we weren't able to get to on this run. We are thrilled to be on the road with Rx Bandits, Mae and Days Away. They are all great bands. We know we've been doing a lot of support slots lately and we have been looking forward to this for a while so hopefully we'll see you there.

Just a little last minute reminder, tonight's show at Next Stage in Grand Praire, TX starts at 7:00 not 8:00 as it says on the ticket. We will be going on stage at 7:30.
Thanks

On July 3, Something Corporate played an exclusive show in front of an invite only audience of Xfm listeners – check out their set in full by clicking on more below.

SOMETHING CORPORATE HITS THE ROAD WITH 311,
NEW CD TO BE RELEASED OCTOBER 2003
Santa Monica, California, July 7, 2003 – Recently back from a sold-out tour of Europe, Drive-Thru/Geffen Records band Something Corporate stopped by their homes in Dana Point, California to re-pack their bags and head out on the road once again. This time with 311 on a six week tour of the U.S. beginning July 15 in Bakersfield, CA (see below for a complete itinerary.)
Something Corporate is also about to put the finishing touches on the follow-up to their 2002 debut album Leaving Through The Window. The band recorded the new album at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle. Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank and Something Corporate’s debut album) returns as the band’s producer. Look for the new album, titled North, to be released in October 2003.
Most tracks were written by lead singer/pianist Andrew McMahon, with additional songs written by Something Corporate guitarist Josh Partington. Finding time to write the songs was a challenge as the band was on the road all of last year. Andrew would steal moments to write his new songs (one of his favorites was written during a soundcheck in Amsterdam). But Andrew cautions the album is not a “road record” in any conventional sense. “It’s not so much about the road,” says Andrew, “as it is about being away. It’s a little more poignant and assertive then the last album.” Some of the songs featured on North include, “21 And Invincible,” “Me And The Moon,” “Ruthless” and “Miss America.”
Comprised of pianist/vocalist Andrew McMahon, guitarists Josh Partington and William Tell, bassist Clutch, and drummer Brian Ireland, Something Corporate’s premiere Drive-Thru/MCA Records album, Leaving Through The Window shipped in May 2002, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Albums Chart. Leaving Through The Window is one of only two albums that have remained on the Alternative New Artist Albums chart for over a year – - 57 weeks to be exact!
The album went on to sell over 250,000 copies, thanks largely to constant touring and the success of the singles “iF yoU C Jordan” and “I Woke Up In A Car.” Something Corporate played to sold-out crowds on four U.S. tours, three European tours and a visit to Japan. When asked to perform on the main stage at last summer’s Warped Tour, the band defied the odds. Who would have figured a piano-based rock quintet could hold its own against so may established hard rock and punk bands? Well, Something Corporate did, drawing some of the biggest and most enthusiastic crowds on the tour. The band then joined up with New Found Glory on the road where they once again performed to sold-out houses. Earlier this year they headlined a sold-out 33 date U.S. tour before heading overseas for a European tour, which consisted of 11 sold-out dates. In early May they wowed a crowd of 300,000 at Atlanta’s Midtown Music Festival, sharing the bill with Ben Harper, Godsmack and Zwan.

We are pleased to announce that this summer we will be touring with one of our favorite bands, 311. The tour will start on July 15th and go through August 27th. We are scheduling headlining shows on off dates wherever we can so that we can hit as many cities as possible. The tour dates should be posted in the next day or two.

Santa Monica, California, May 12, 2003 – Sometimes you just need to get away to unleash those creative juices. For Drive-Thru Records/MCA band Something Corporate, that meant leaving the smoggy confines of Orange County, and heading to Robert Lang Studios in Seattle. That’s the same studio where Kurt Cobain and Nirvana recorded some of their greatest music (as did Foo Fighters and MXPX). And that’s where Something Corporate chose to record the follow-up album to their hit 2002 debut Leaving Through The Window.
For the duration of the recording process this quintet from Dana Point, CA has moved into house adjacent to the studio. They did so to immerse themselves, 24/7, in each other’s creative energy. Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, and Something Corporate’s debut album) returns as the band’s producer.
Most tracks were written by lead singer/pianist Andrew McMahon, with additional songs written by Something Corporate guitarist Josh Partington. McMahon says of the new project, “All of the songs were written in the last six to eight months, so our goal is to capture the mood and environments of right now.” Adds Partington, “this album is a lot more about a band that has gone through the journey of being a band.”
It’s a little more poignant and assertive then the last album.” Some of the songs featured on the as-yet-untitled album include, “21 And Invincible,” “Me And The Moon,” “Ruthless” and “Miss America.”
Comprised of pianist/vocalist Andrew McMahon, guitarists Josh Partington and William Tell, bassist Clutch, and drummer Brian Ireland, Something Corporate’s premiere Drive-Thru Records/MCA album, Leaving Through The Window shipped in May 2002, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Albums Chart.
The album went on to sell over 250,000 copies, thanks largely to constant touring and the success of the singles “iF yoU C Jordan” and “I Woke Up In A Car.” Something Corporate toured the U.S. four times Europe three times and ran from adoring fans in Japan when they toured there. Earlier this year they headlined a sold-out 33 date U.S. tour before heading overseas for a European tour which consisted of 11 sold-out dates.
Something Corporate recently took a break from recording to perform to a crowd of 300,000 at Atlanta’s Midtown Music Festival earlier this month, sharing the bill with Ben Harper, Godsmack and Zwan. They will be in the studio through mid-June, then head overseas for yet another European headlining tour. Look for Something Corporate to tour the States this summer. The new album arrives in stores September 2003.
